John Gibbons

John H. Gibbons 86 
resident of Chelmsford, MA, died October 8, 2007 at Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH.
He was born in Milford, NH on April 9, 1921, a son of the late John J. & Louise (Dummett) Gibbons.
Mr. Gibbons was raised and educated in Milford, NH. A graduate of Milford High School, he also attended New England College in Henniker, NH and graduated from New Hampshire Finance & Accounting, Manchester, NH.
Mr. Gibbons was employed for the U.S. Postal Service as an RFD Carrier for more than 35 years. He had been a resident of Chelmsford, MA for more than 50 years.
Mr. Gibbons was an active volunteer at the Chelmsford Seniors Center. In addition, he loved gardening, fishing and boating.
He was a USMC veteran of World War II having served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. Mr. Gibbons was a Flotilla Commander of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxilliary and a charter member of the Harley Sanford Post #4368 VFW, Milford.
He was predeceased by his wife, Denise (Dore') Gibbons, who died in 2004 and two sisters, Margaret Gibbons and Rose Kearns. Family members include two daughters and a son-in-law, Kathleen Hartman of Springfield, MA, Mary Louise & Keith Makuch of Southampton, MA; a son and daughter-in-law, John A. & Jennifer Gibbons of Derry, NH; 10 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Jackson of Milford, NH, Eileen Ricard of Nashua, NH; a brother, William Gibbons of Manchester, NH; many nieces and nephews.
